We’re working with specialist and mainstream schools across Newcastle who need reliable, skilled TAs to cover short-term absences. You’ll use your classroom experience to make an immediate impact, supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs.
What your days could look like

Providing 1:1 or small group support for children with SEND

Helping teachers deliver tailored learning activities

Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation with calm, consistent strategies

Working closely with teachers and support teams to keep lessons on track

Making sure pupils feel included, supported, and ready to learn

Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEND

Someone flexible and reliable, happy to work in different schools

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
