We are currently working with a multi-cultural school close to Hayes, who are recruiting a Special Needs Support Assistant for an ASAP or September.

We are seeking someone who has experience of working with children on the Autistic Spectrum, as well as someone who possesses a calm and patient nature. The child you are working with is in Reception, so it would be ideal if you are experienced in strategies to support with communication such as PECs or Makaton. You will need to be able to demonstrate teamwork and possess effective communication skills as you will be liaising closely with the parents and other professionals.

You will be working under the direction of the class teacher and Inclusion Manager, as well as being an integral part of the SEND team, and the school benefits from being well resourced and has a small friendly feel.

In order to apply you will need to have a DBS registered to the online update service, or be willing to put a new one in process and be available to work between 8:30-4:00 Monday-Friday. You will also need to be available to interview and trial ASAP.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
