We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the Gloucestershire, who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their experienced and supportive SEND team.

This is a permanent, term-time role, starting as soon as possible.

The basics

  • Hours: 28 hours 25 minutes per week, term time only (including INSET days)

  • Contract: Permanent

  • Start date: ASAP

  • Pay: from £13.75 per hour, depending on experience

About the role

You’ll be supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, helping them feel confident, included, and ready to learn. Experience with Cognition and Learning and Communication and Interaction needs is a bonus, but not essential, what really matters is your attitude and commitment to inclusive practice.

You’ll work closely with teachers and the SEND team to support learning across the curriculum, champion progress, and help students move forward, even when things feel tricky.

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience supporting young people with SEND, ideally in a secondary setting

  • Believes every child deserves a personalised and inclusive education

  • Builds strong, positive relationships with students

  • Can empathise, but also encourage independence and progress

  • Is organised, adaptable, and brings a calm, positive energy to the classroom

  • Is keen to learn, develop new skills, and grow their career in education

  • Driver are preferred, given the location of the school
