We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Islington that’s looking for a calm, caring SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a setting where relationships come first, small wins are celebrated, and support staff are truly part of the team.
What your day might look like:

Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups, helping them feel safe, understood, and ready to learn

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to keep support consistent

Helping pupils regulate emotions, build confidence, and access learning in a way that works for them

Being that steady, trusted adult pupils can rely on
This role could be a great fit if you:

Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND, in schools, care, or community settings

Bring patience, empathy, and a calm approach, especially on tricky days

Communicate well and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
-
Are happy getting stuck in and making a real difference, even when progress is gradual

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
