Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable school in Barnsley.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and assistance to students with SEND in their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create and implement individualized learning plans for students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Assist with the management of behaviour and social-emotional needs of students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEND or from a Care background.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field are advantageous but not necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
