Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

Job Duties:

  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Providing one-to-one support to students as required
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be desirable

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different types of SEND and appropriate support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience

Working Conditions:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
