At Protocol Education we’re looking for a compassionate SEND Primary School Teacher to join a specialist school in Durham starting as soon as possible. This school is all about creating a calm, nurturing spaces where children with additional needs can truly thrive. What you’ll be doing as a SEND teacher
- Teaching and adapting lessons for the pupils with a range of needs (including ASD, MLD and SEMH).
- Working closely with TA’S, therapists and parents to build strong support networks
- Bringing creativity, structure and calm energy to every lesson.
- Making progress personal, not just measurable.
Requirements for a SEND teacher
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience working in a classroom setting, ideally with SEND pupils
- A nurturing, consistent approach and plenty of enthusiasm
- Confidence working alongside TAs, therapists, and SENCOs
