SEND Teacher – Autism Specialist – South Shields

This specialist autism provision in South Shields is looking for an experienced SEND Teacher who understands structure, communication, and sensory regulation inside out.

You’ll lead a small class where routines matter, visuals are central, and pupils thrive when they feel safe and understood.

What the role includes:
• Planning structured lessons using TEACCH, PECs, or similar
• Supporting communication and sensory processing needs
• Working closely with TAs and therapists
• Creating a calm, predictable classroom environment
• Helping pupils build independence and confidence
