SEND Teacher – Newham

Schools across Newham are searching for an SEND Teacher who can bring structure, patience and a steady presence to learners who need it most.

You’ll be joining settings that support pupils with autism, SEMH, complex learning needs and communication differences. Your ability to break learning down into achievable steps and keep pupils regulated will make the biggest difference here.

The role

  • Delivering lessons tailored to a wide range of special educational needs
  • Creating small-step learning plans that are meaningful and achievable
  • Working side by side with support staff, external specialists and families
  • Building a classroom culture that’s calm, organised and predictable
  • Modelling clear expectations, empathy and strong communication

What we’re looking for

  • QTS or similar recognised teaching qualification
  • Background in SEND, inclusion or alternative provision
  • Confident behaviour management and a flexible approach
  • Someone who collaborates well within a multi-disciplinary team
