Job description: Full time, Permanent, 8:30am-4pm) Monday to Friday

Job title:  SEN TA - Year 6 class.

I am working with a specialist school in the London borough of Waltham Forest, catering for students with ASD, SEMH and associated conditions. The school are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support to one of the students, closely monitoring and managing their behaviour whilst providing academic assistance. This role will include challenging behaviour therefore the candidate must hold a strong presence and be able to control heated situations.

Requirements:

  • The Behaviour Mentor must hold at least a Level 3 TA qualification or possess extensive behaviour/SEMH experience.
  • Will be confident de-escalating situations and challenging behaviour, whilst following appropriate protocol.
  • Excels in building strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A Behaviour Mentor must be passionate about working with SEMH and related needs and making a positive impact on student’s lives.
