Protocol Education are recruiting for a SEND/SEMH Support Specialist within a Nursery School in Wolverhampton.

The school is a local authority-maintained Nursery School who have proudly received “Outstanding” rated practice in their last five inspections. The school is well established having been open for over 25 years, students are aged 2-5 years old, and the setting has 168 students on roll. The school has big aspirations for their students, wanting them to be happy, healthy and have positive attitudes to learning. The school believes from the earliest start every child can achieve and they implement an ambitious curriculum that inspires the big thinkers of the future.

The school are looking for a SEND/SEMH Support Specialist to be based in their Reception SEND Provision. This is a small group of students between the age of 4 and 5 who have Special Educational Needs or Disabilities, you will work with other members of staff and the schools SENCO to ensure the curriculum is accessible and tailored to the students’ individual needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEND/SEMH and have strong understanding of the EYFS Curriculum.

Role: SEND/SEMH Support Specialist

Location: Wolverhampton (Easy Commute from Walsall, Willenhall, Tipton & Wednesbury)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start date: Monday 17th June 2024

Qualifications: Level 2/3 Early Years Educator desired however not required if experienced in EYFS, SEND Certificate and other SEND/SEMH training qualifications also beneficial.
