SEND Learning Support Assistant – Sunderland

A glimpse into the role
You’ll be working with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, helping them take small steps that make a big difference to their school day. From building routines to offering one-to-one support, you’ll play a key part in helping pupils feel comfortable and confident.
You’ll collaborate with teachers, therapists and other support staff to create a warm, structured environment where each child can thrive.
What you’ll bring
- Experience supporting pupils or young people with SEND
- A gentle, reassuring approach to communication and behaviour
- Confidence with personal care and daily routines
- A team-first mindset and clear communication
- Level 2 or Level 3 TA training is useful but not essential
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
