Job Duties:

Protocol Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join one of our amazing SEND schools in Southwark. You will provide support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in an educational setting. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, implementing individual education plans, and collaborating with teachers and parents to support the learning and development of students with SEND.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified to Teaching Assistant Level 2, with a strong understanding of SEND practises and procedures. Experience working with children with SEND is essential.

Education:

Completion of Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of learning support strategies, experience in mentoring students with SEND, and proficiency in childcare practises.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications in SEND education or related field would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working Monday to Friday within the educational setting. The SEND Learning Support Assistant may need to adapt to various classroom environments and collaborate closely with teachers, students, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
