SEND Learning Support Assistant – Primary or Secondary

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: As soon as possible

We are recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across the school day.

This role supports children who benefit from individualised support to access learning, manage emotions and build confidence.

You will work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning and provide consistent support.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with SEND needs
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Assisting with differentiated learning activities
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and engagement
• Encouraging independence and self-esteem

This role is ideal for someone who:
• Has experience or interest in SEND support
• Is caring, reliable and adaptable

• Enjoys supporting children to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
