Job Title: SEND Classroom Support – Mainstream Primary
Location: Southwark, London
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM
Start Date: October 2025
Looking for a role where you can make a real difference every single day? We’re working with inclusive and welcoming mainstream primary schools across Southwark, and they’re on the lookout for compassionate, committed SEND Teaching Assistants to join their teams this autumn.
If you’ve got a knack for supporting children with autism, ADHD, or physical needs, and you’re ready to bring calm, creativity, and care into the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils with additional needs—both 1:1 and in small groups

Helping pupils access the curriculum in a way that works for them

Working alongside teachers to adapt resources and keep things engaging

Encouraging social development and emotional regulation
-
Supporting with personal care when needed
-
Being a friendly, consistent presence throughout the school day

Good communication and a solution-focused mindset

Experience supporting children with SEND (personal or professional—both count!)
You’ll need:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or similar childcare/nursery qualification)

Previous experience with autism and ADHD

A proactive, positive approach—you’re ready to hit the ground running!
