This inclusive South Shields school takes a child-centred approach to SEND, recognising that every pupil’s journey is unique. Staff work together to provide structured, compassionate support that helps pupils feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. A SEND Class Teacher is now needed to join this dedicated team.

Your role will include

  • Teaching a class of pupils with additional needs

  • Adapting lessons to meet individual learning requirements

  • Supporting emotional regulation and engagement

  • Working closely with SEN and pastoral teams

  • QTS with SEND experience or strong interest

  • A calm, flexible and empathetic approach
