SEND Care & Learning Assistant – Sunderland Area
Pay: £89 to £110 per day

Contract: Long-term, full-time

We’re supporting a specialist setting for children with complex learning and medical needs. Pupils benefit from consistency, gentle communication and adults who understand sensory processing, personal care and emotional regulation.
What you’ll be doing:
• Supporting pupils with communication, sensory needs and learning tasks
• Providing personal care with dignity and sensitivity
• Using symbols, schedules and structured routines
• Working closely with the class team, therapists and healthcare staff
You’ll thrive here if you:
• Have experience in SEND, care, residential, or health support
• Are patient, grounded and able to stay calm under pressure

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
