About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Merton. This role involves supporting students with a range of special educational needs to help them engage with learning and develop both academically and socially. It’s a great opportunity to make a positive impact while developing valuable classroom experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties).

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing personalised learning strategies.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, focus, and participation.

  • Support students’ emotional and social development.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Patient, caring, and proactive approach.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
