SEN Teaching Assistant – Croydon

Protocol Education are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner schools in Croydon.
You will be supporting pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The role involves working closely with class teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Assist with classroom management and lesson preparation
-
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs)
-
Encourage and support pupils’ emotional and social development
-
Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports
Requirements:
-
Experience supporting children with SEN (in school or similar setting)
-
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
-
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
