SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton
Location: Merton, London
Pay Rate: £85 – £96 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs in a friendly and inclusive school in Merton.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN.

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional well-being.

  • Help create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual student needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN in schools or similar settings.

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • DBS clearance (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
