Pay to Scale

Some people support learning, you transform it. If you’re the sort of person who spots potential before anyone else and knows how to bring the best out of every child, then an SEN TA role in Wakefield could be exactly where you shine.

We’re working with welcoming, forward-thinking schools across Wakefield who want Teaching Assistants that don’t just “help out”, they elevate the whole classroom experience. You’ll be right there beside pupils who need a little extra guidance, making sure they feel seen, supported and capable of real progress.

What you’ll be doing

  • Building steady, trusting relationships with pupils with a range of additional needs

  • Offering patient, consistent support that helps learners feel secure and ready to try

  • Adapting activities so every child can access learning in a way that works for them

  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams to keep everything running smoothly

  • Bringing calm, confidence and a good dose of kindness to each day

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with experience supporting children with SEND, or a genuine drive to learn

  • A clear communicator who brings warmth and reassurance into every interaction

  • A team player who can stay grounded, upbeat and solution focused

  • An individual who understands that behaviour is communication and every child deserves dignity
