About the Role:
Protocol Education is looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner schools in Kingston upon Thames. The successful candidate will support pupils with a variety of special educational needs (SEN), including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver individualised support plans.

  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.

  • Support pupils with personal care or physical needs when required.

  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN.

  • A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
