SEN Teaching Assistant – Trauma-Informed Setting

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time

This SEN TA role is based in a trauma-informed school environment where understanding, patience and consistency are central.

You’ll support pupils whose behaviour is often linked to past experiences, helping them feel safe enough to learn and engage.

Your day-to-day:
• Supporting pupils emotionally and academically
• Helping de-escalate challenging situations calmly
• Encouraging trust and positive relationships
• Supporting personalised learning plans
• Working closely with pastoral and SEN teams

This role suits someone emotionally aware and resilient.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
