SEN Teaching Assistant – Wandsworth

About the Role:
Protocol Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs in schools across Wandsworth. You will play a vital role in helping students with additional learning needs reach their full potential in a positive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD).

  • Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans (IEPs).

  • Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.

  • Help maintain an engaging and safe classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).

  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Protocol Education).
