About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties.

  • Work closely with teachers to deliver personalised learning activities.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and inclusion within the classroom.

  • Support pupils with their emotional, social, and academic development.

  • Create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (in schools or similar settings).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, proactive, and flexible approach.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff.

  • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
