SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary (Supply)

Pay: £88–£110 per day (PAYE)

Do you have a calm, caring approach and a knack for bringing out the best in every child?
We’re looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Bradford, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 basis.
You’ll be working with children with autism, learning difficulties, and challenging behaviour – some verbal, some non-verbal – helping them access learning and feel safe, supported, and understood.
Every day will be different, but your impact will be constant.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 classroom support to pupils with a range of SEND needs

Helping children engage with learning and social interaction
-
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to create a nurturing environment

Using patience, empathy, and consistency to build trust and confidence
What we’re looking for:

Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school, care, or community settings)

A calm, resilient, and flexible approach to every challenge
-
Confidence supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH, or complex learning needs

Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A passion for making a difference in every child’s day
