About the Role

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs across all key stages. This role is perfect for graduates or teaching assistants looking to gain hands-on experience in SEN/SEMH settings, making a tangible difference in pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing.

You’ll work alongside teachers to deliver tailored support for children with SEMH needs, ADHD, ASD, and other learning differences, helping them achieve academic and personal milestones while promoting inclusion and confidence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups across Primary and Secondary settings

  • Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated, engaging learning activities

  • Helping with classroom management and preparation duties

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

  • Promoting inclusion and ensuring all pupils feel valued and supported

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with SEN pupils in primary and/or secondary schools

  • DBS certificate or willingness to apply via Protocol Education

  • Strong communication, patience, and adaptability

  • Proactive, nurturing, and team-oriented approach

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
