About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner schools in Merton. You will be supporting children with a range of special educational needs (SEN) including autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ learning and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.

  • Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individual education plans (IEPs).

  • Encourage students to participate fully in learning activities.

  • Support children with personal care or physical needs when required.

  • Promote inclusion and help create a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care setting).

  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
