SEN Teaching Assistant – Reception Class
Full-Time | ASAP Start | 8:15am – 3:30pm

An Ofsted-rated Outstanding primary school is seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support their Reception class. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, working closely with three SEN pupils to ensure they receive tailored support and guidance.

Your Role:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for three SEN pupils in Reception.

  • Manage the needs of dysregulated students.

  • Implement strategies to support pupils’ learning, social, and emotional development.

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff to create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.

  • Maintain patience, consistency, and professionalism while managing challenging behaviour.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with SEN pupils, ideally in a Reception setting.

  • Ability to manage dysregulated students with resilience and confidence.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Calm, consistent, and adaptable approach to behaviour management.

  • Commitment to supporting every child to achieve their potential.

Hours: 8:15am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
