SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Protocol Education is seeking a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner schools in Merton.
Role Overview:
 You will support pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), learning difficulties, and other additional needs. Your role includes assisting in classroom activities, providing one-to-one or small group support, and helping create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- 
Support pupils’ learning, social, and emotional development.
 - 
Assist teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management.
 - 
Provide targeted support for individual pupils or small groups.
 - 
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
 - 
Collaborate effectively with teachers and other staff.
 
Requirements:
- 
Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN or school setting.
 - 
Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
 - 
Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
 - 
DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
