SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Protocol Education is seeking a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Merton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs reach their full potential.
Role Overview:
You will support pupils with diverse special educational needs such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties. The ideal candidate will be patient, flexible, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN

Assist the class teacher with differentiated learning activities

Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment

Support pupils with personal care or mobility needs when required

Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Requirements:

Experience working with children with SEN (school or personal experience welcome)

A proactive, calm, and caring approach
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Availability for full-time / long-term work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
