SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Support children with a range of SEN needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.

Assist teachers with delivering tailored, engaging, and accessible lessons.

Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.

Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs.
Requirements:

Experience working with SEN children (school, care, youth work, or similar).

Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
