 SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton
Location: Merton, London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time / Long-term

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Merton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with a range of SEN needs in both 1:1 and small group settings.

  • Assist teachers with delivering tailored, engaging, and accessible lessons.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN children (school, care, youth work, or similar).

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
