About the Role:
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join schools across Kingston upon Thames. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and help them thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to pupils with additional needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties.

  • Work closely with class teachers to adapt learning materials and ensure lessons are inclusive.

  • Support emotional and behavioural development in a positive, encouraging manner.

  • Promote independence, engagement, and confidence among pupils.

  • Assist in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN in school or similar settings.

  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to challenges.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
