About the Role:
Protocol Education is looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Merton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.

  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour, participation, and independence.

  • Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development in a nurturing environment.

  • Help create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in schools or similar settings.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
