About the Role:
Protocol Education is looking for a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in schools across Merton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting resources to meet individual needs.

Encourage and promote positive behaviour, participation, and independence.

Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development in a nurturing environment.

Help create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere.
Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN in schools or similar settings.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude.

Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
