About the School:
A supportive, inclusive mainstream school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school offers strong leadership, ongoing training, and a nurturing environment for both students and staff.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech & Language needs, and Moderate Learning Difficulties. You will provide targeted academic and emotional support to help students engage in learning and make progress.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support.

Assist with differentiated learning activities set by the class teacher/SENCO.

Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
-
Encourage independence, engagement, and positive learning behaviour.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals.
Requirements:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or childcare setting).

A patient, proactive, and supportive approach.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with learners.

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
