SEN Teaching Assistant – Leeds

We’re working with a welcoming SEN school in Leeds that’s looking for a calm, caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils who need consistency, patience, and a steady presence in their day.

This is one of those schools where support staff are truly part of the team. You’ll be backed by experienced teachers, a hands-on SENCO, and a leadership team who actually listen.

What your day will look like:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups

  • Helping children regulate emotions and feel safe in the classroom

  • Working closely with teachers and therapists

  • Creating a calm, structured learning environment

What the school is hoping for:

  • Experience with SEND, autism, SEMH, or behaviour support (formal or informal)

  • A patient, positive approach and a good sense of humour
