We are supporting an incredible SEN school in Durham that is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can bring patience, empathy, and a steady presence to the classroom. The school works with pupils who have a range of additional needs, and they are looking for someone who enjoys helping children feel secure, understood, and ready to learn.

What you’ll be doing as a Teaching Assistant in SEN school

Assisting pupils with their learning across the school day, both in class and in small groups.

Helping pupils follow routines and stay engaged in ways that suit their individual needs.

Working closely with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that help each pupil thrive.

Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive communication.
