Job Duties:
- Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
- Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
- Help students with their learning and development, including personal care if required
- Support students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals to create a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- SEN Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience
- Valid DBS check
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working with children with special educational needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification
- First aid certification
Working Conditions:
- Typical school hours, Monday to Friday
- Work within a classroom setting
- Potential requirement to assist with outdoor activities or school trips

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
