SEN Teaching Assistant – South Shields (Complex Needs)

This South Shields school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support pupils with a range of complex needs, including sensory differences, processing difficulties and communication challenges. If you enjoy helping pupils grow at their own pace and celebrating every step forward, this could be the perfect fit.

Your daily role will include:
• Supporting learners 1:1 or in small groups
• Helping pupils access learning through visual supports and simple routines
• Assisting with sensory activities and structured interventions
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists and support staff
• Promoting communication and independence in a safe, nurturing environment

Ideal candidates will have:
• SEN experience, particularly autism or sensory needs
• A warm, reliable and encouraging approach
• Resilience and a willingness to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
