We’re working with a welcoming SEN setting that’s looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and support pupils who need a bit of extra help to feel confident and settled at school.

This is a school where staff celebrate small steps, communicate openly and work together to create a warm, structured environment for young people with additional needs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, learning differences and social, emotional needs

  • Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils stay engaged and develop confidence

  • Helping with communication, routines and emotional regulation

  • Using consistent, positive strategies recommended by teachers and pastoral staff

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils who rely on calm, caring adults

  • Supporting classroom activities to make learning accessible and enjoyable

  • Someone who’s confident, warm and able to communicate clearly

  • A team player who takes guidance well and works positively with staff

  • Experience in schools, care, coaching, tutoring or youth work is helpful but not essential

  • Someone who stays calm when the day gets tricky and keeps pupils’ wellbeing at the heart of everything
