SEN Teaching Assistant – Harrow (Primary School)

Pay Rate: £90 - £105 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harrow is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team from January 2026. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a variety of SEN needs.

Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities.

Promote positive behaviour, self-esteem, and emotional wellbeing.

Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.

Adapt resources and learning materials to meet the individual needs of pupils.
Key Requirements of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting children with SEN (in school, youth work, care, or similar settings).

Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learners.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
