The school creates a nurturing, structured environment for children and young people with a range of additional needs. They’re proud of their warm, inclusive approach and are looking for someone who can help pupils feel safe, understood and confident every day.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and social, emotional needs

  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils stay engaged and develop confidence

  • Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and daily routines

  • Using clear, consistent strategies recommended by teachers and the SEN team

  • Helping create accessible learning activities and positive classroom environments

  • Building trusting relationships with pupils who rely on steady, encouraging adults

What the school is looking for

  • Someone who communicates well and builds rapport naturally

  • A calm presence, even when pupils find things difficult

  • Experience in care, SEN, youth work or coaching is helpful but not essential

  • A team player who’s flexible, positive and ready to learn

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
