About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils who require additional help to access learning. Your day may involve:

Working 1:1 or with small groups

Supporting children with SEND such as autism, learning difficulties or SEMH needs

Helping pupils stay focused, calm and engaged
-
Using personalised strategies to support behaviour, communication and independence

Assisting the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

Promoting the welfare, safety and wellbeing of every child

What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals

A warm, patient and adaptable approach

Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs

Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries

A DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Whether your experience comes from education, care, youth work or a similar background, your transferable skills will be highly valued.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
