We’re looking for a calm, compassionate, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
This is more than a job — it’s a chance to help students access learning in their own unique way, from sensory sessions to small victories that mean the world.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils with complex physical and learning needs in a classroom setting
- Assisting with personal care, mobility, and communication needs
- Creating sensory-friendly learning spaces alongside experienced staff
- Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support
- Using assistive technology and communication aids to enhance engagement
What we’re looking for
- Must have previous experience working with PMLD or complex needs
- Confident supporting personal care and manual handling (training desirable)
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Someone who sees potential in every child, no matter how small the step
- Thrive training is a big plus – and if you haven’t done it yet, we’ll cover it for free!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
