Job Duties:

- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Support SEN students in their learning activities and help them to achieve their full potential - Work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment - Provide one-to-one support for SEN students as required - Assist with the management of behaviour and social interactions of SEN students - Help to create and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment

Required Qualifications:

- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths - Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support - Clear and current enhanced DBS check

Education:

- A relevant qualification in Education or SEN support

Experience:

- Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN - Experience in supporting students with a range of learning difficulties

Knowledge and Skills:

- Understanding of different learning styles and SEN strategies - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team - Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting SEN students

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional qualifications in Education or SEN support - Training in positive behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

- Work in a school setting with SEN students - Full-time hours during the school term - Collaborative working environment with teachers and other support staff - Potential for occasional additional training or professional development opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
