Job Duties:
- Supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored educational activities
- Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN to help them access the curriculum
- Collaborating with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student progress
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Required Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
- Basic knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid training
- Mental Health First Aid qualification
Working Conditions:
This role will involve working in a classroom environment with students with SEN. The working hours are full-time, and the successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
