Role Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide targeted assistance to students with additional learning needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with SEN in the classroom and during one-to-one sessions.

  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.

  • Encourage positive behaviour and social development.

  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Support the wider school environment to ensure an inclusive learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a SEN or educational setting.

  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow guidance and adapt to the needs of individual students.

  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in Special Educational Needs, teaching, or childcare.

  • Knowledge of specific learning difficulties such as ASD, ADHD, or dyslexia.

  • First aid training or willingness to complete training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
