About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a school based in Merton. The successful candidate will provide tailored 1:1 and group support, helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with SEN such as autism, ADHD, and speech & language needs.

  • Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in learning.

  • Assist with classroom management and differentiated learning activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting SEN pupils is desirable (training can be provided).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
