SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Pay Rate: £85 – £96 per day (Depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Merton. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of SEN needs.

Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons.

Support positive behaviour, confidence, and emotional development.

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.

Adapt learning materials and activities based on individual student needs.
Requirements:

Experience working with SEN learners (school, youth work, care, or similar).

Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
