SEN Teaching Assistant – Merton

Protocol Education are looking for a patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our supportive partner schools in Merton.
This rewarding role involves working with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). You will play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, develop life skills, and achieve their learning goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons

Support pupils’ emotional and social wellbeing throughout the school day

Implement strategies from individual education plans (IEPs)
-
Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working with children with SEN (in school or similar setting)
-
A kind, adaptable and proactive attitude
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
